KPI workshop at SolidSource
The Software Benchmarking Organization organizes an workshop on its key performance indicators (KPI) and how to successfully deploy them in your organization. SBO enters the Dutch market
In answer to the positive feedback received from clients and partners, the Software Benchmarking Organization opens a permanent office in Eindhoven, the Nethelands. SBO offers FREE first-order benchmarking reports online
The Software Benchmarking Organization launches a new service offering FREE first-order benchmarking studies online . Using this service software development companies can benchmark the performance of a given project against data specific to their application domain. The required inputs for the report are the product size, duration, required effort and main programming language used during development. Reports are generated automatically. They can be anonymous or customized with project names and e-mailed as PDF formatted documents to a specific address.
SBO organizes three new workshops
The Software Benchmarking Organization will give three workshops about software benchmarking using the key performance indicators (KPI) set that has been developed within the organization.
- Workshop at Synspace on November 26th, 2009 in Zurich;
- Workshop at Sioux on January 12th, 2010 in Eindhoven;
SBO conducting benchmark studies
From October 2009 on, the Software Benchmarking Organization plans to conduct a series of benchmarking studies in the West-European software industry with the following objectives:
- Assess performance using a best practice set of KPIs;
- Benchmark results with other study participants and industry values (average, best-in-class).
Each participating company should make available its data for 1-3 projects. The data will be analyzed and the results benchmarked against industry values (average, best-in-class). The study will include an on-line visit with a detailed report as outcome. This can serve as the basis for (process) improvement efforts. The overall (anonymized) results will be made available as well to contributing organizations. Optionally, results will be published at conferences and/or journals.
